I like my job! :D
11:25 PM Went RJC to invigilate PAE today! Great experience! But can't write much here. Confidential... But all I can say is that I like my job more n more. The purpose of every task is clear. Work for a reason. Feel that my job's v meaningful. Actually when u focus on the positive side of everything, u will feel much happier each day. I feel that I complain less n am much happier. 2:43 AM Watched Blades today. Nice company. haha~ Enjoyed myself. :D Didn't blog for the whole week. Cos I was busy working. Just to update my dear friends who are reading my blog. :D I am currently working at Civil Service College, it's at Buna Vista. It's a statutory board, basically handling tests for MOE or MOM etc. But shan't reveal too much about the job cos it's supposed to be confidential. hehe~ There are 6 part timers like me. Nice to know new friends. hehe~ Have a great week... hehe~ I feel accomplished. No more rotting at home which oso means I dun have much time to watch Honey n Clover 2. But still happy to go to work. Next week will be a busy week, we are told tt we need to OT no matter wat... haha~ Next week oso planned to watch Pirates, Shrek n Priceless. Feel relieved...
9:58 PM Ytd, Pi n I went back to school as student ambassadors for Windows into SoC. We are supposed to answer questions of visitors, the new batch of freshies. But it seem like the number of ambassadors outnumbered the freshies. haha~ Anyway, it's nice to go back to school, met my friends who have graduated. And good to hear most of them found a job! I was quite worried. In fact, I was a little scared. Scared that my result won't be not good enough. Scared that I won't get any job offer, etc. haha~ But after hearing from my friends, i feel much better. :D Many said they can refer me to their companies in the future.. haha~ Tuesday, May 15, 2007

11:38 PM Bu shuang! Very angry with someone! Deleted him from my msn. Never want to talk to him again. Hope I won't have any contact with him in the future. I think it's really okay not to contact with him anymore cos i see nothing in this friendship. What is the use of sending me msgs n cards on my birthday when forgot a lot more other things. I rather have a friend who might not remember dates but make efforts in other ways. I really feel that this particular friend is wasting my time and effort! And I certainly feel that I should not waste my time n effort in this friendship anymore. Silly me, thought my effort will be paid off. I should have listen to my dear frenz who can see much clearer than me and told me not to make effort in the very beginning. Lesson learnt: Only listen to friends n family who really care and see clearer than me most of the time. Monday, May 14, 2007
10:16 PM Sick. Vomited 3 times ytd! Feel giddy the whole day. But first day of work, have to go no matter wat... Woke up 530 today! Only slept for 2 hrs cos the sickness caused me to stay wide awake the whole night! Tired... Met Pi 630 and reached Methodist Girls 730. Called Caleb once we reached and realised that we went to the wrong school! It's Blackmore not Fairview Methodist! Supper blur, but can't blame us cos both schools can be reached by taking 74 from Dover MRT(only found out later)! We totally had no idea how to go to Blackmore Methodist from Fairview. Caleb offered to give us a ride from Clementi MRT. So in the end, Pi n I took cab to Clementi to meet him. First time met Caleb, apologised by being late. A lot of silent moment on his car... haha~ I think he wasn't very familiar how to go Blackmore as well, driving round n round. By the time we reached, it's already 815! We are supposed to reach by 8. Anyway, the kids only came in to the lab by 830... The job is actually quite tiring actually. I concluded that it's so tiring because the target audience is pri 4 kids. They dun read guides! At every point of times there will be 5 or 6 hands raising up, waiting for me to attend to them. haha~ And I need to entertain questions like how to create new slide, how to change font color, how to delete this n that, etc.. Can you imagine!!! -_-'''' haha I assisted 2 classes today. The first class was damn noisy n mischievous! An indian gal likes to raise her hand even though she had no qns. -_- Luckily, my second class is much better. 4:42 PM Tml will be a busy day for me. Pi and I will be going to Methodist Girls' School to assist the Pri 4 kids with powerpoint! Caleb: Your job is mainly to assist our trainer. He will be doing the main teaching. When the pupils go back to their seat for hands-on session, you may go around and help the pupils with the powerpoint lesson. Sound pretty easy to me! hahaha~ Caleb also sent me the schedule and material for the program. I flipped through the guide which is 25 pages long! It's titled MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION USING MICROSOFT POWERPOINT (ADVANCE). Haha~ Well... I will say that the guide is a bit too wordy for pri 4 kids and they didn't simplify those computer jargon. Not sure whether the kids will understand or not... haha~ So lets' see tml! Looking forward! Thinking about, I am a bit excited now! hahaha~ ================================================================ Ytd, we had Cod Fish Steamboat for Mothers' Day Celebration. :D  From Left: Cod Fish Steamboat and Cod Fish Tofu. Interview Nightmare
11:37 PM Today, I went to a tuition centre for an interview. But not to interview for tutor position, the advertisement wrote they need admin staff so i applied. I was asked to fill up a application form of 5 pages! -_- The last page shocked me! They asked me to do Pri 5 fill in the blanks and to comment on a composition written by a Pri 5 kid. I took me half an hour to finish everything. There are 2 other person came for the interview too. After that I was asked to go to a room for 1-to-1 interview. Double confirmed (think their application form is more for applying of tutor position... -_- ) that they are looking for admin staff. haha~ But they said if I got the job, I might need to relief another teacher when he is not around. Another criterion is they required me to work even during school day. I have to come bk every Sat or Sun. And a contract has to be signed to ensure that cos the person told me a lot of people back out even though they promised to stay. hmm... Another problem is the location... It is at Paya Lebar! Paya Lebar is very far from my home, at least 1 hr MRT journey! But since I can use my student pass so I shall not be so picky about location. Only 1 plus point is the salary is quite good. hehe~ And they promised to increase pay every 3 mth and it will be written in the contract too... (But do I really want to sign a contract??? :X) Anyway, I still have to wait for their call to confirm whether they want to employ me or not... I need to lose weight!!!
11:22 PM I need to lose weight! Feel fat these days cos I have been eating out the whole week! Thursday, I went bk hall to pack my things and had yummy Ajisen jap ramen with Mel, June n Wayne. It had been a long time since I last ate ramen. In fact, I didn't shopping for the whole semester, no chance to step into shopping mall n eat my fav ramen. Friday, we (the same gang including Shinney) had our steamboat at Seoul garden. We decided to skip dinner but in the end, I still stuff myself with popcorn while watching Spiderman 3. haha~ Salted popcorn is just irresistable! Saturday = choco buffet day! See my previous blog. :D Sunday, I met up with poly frenz! Long time never see them especially the guys. Cong n Sean slim down A LOT! Ben had new haircut. Crystal n Meli looked great too. Both of them put on makeup. I think I need to start practising how to makeup properly. 世界上没有丑的女人，只有懒的女人。And I am the lazy type. haha~ Need to start take care of my face too. Anyway, we have porridge steamboat at bugis... Nice n special... But the guys said the porridge was not salty enough so added a lot salted eggs. haha~ Today, I went to another job agency. Chocolate Buffet!
3:29 AM Today, we went to Fullerton Hotel. =) First time try Chocolate Buffet, checked online the restaurant is called The Courtyard. Mel n I did not eat anything for the whole day. haha~ I everytime will skip meals when my mum is not at home. I am just too lazy to go tabao myself. Didn't know we are going for Chocolate Buffet(haha~ I didn't ask), I ate a lot of chocolate at home before I went for the buffet cos it's the only food tt is available n dun need to cook. :p We only went for 2 rounds of choco buffet n everyone surrendered! haha~ Cos too much chocolate make us feel nauseated! There are chocolate cake, cookies, drink, puddings... Eat one or two will be nice but too much chocolate at a time can really make us nauseated. :p Anyway, it's the company tt counts. Really very happy to see everyone again. All program members managed to make it except Chevy. And Bin said didn't want to come cos she said she needs to pack her stuffs. hmmm... Too much sweet food, I suggested to go Lau Pa Sha to eat. hehe~ Thanks to Daniel if not I dun think I can catch the last train. Think will cost a lot of my to take cab home alone. But a bit paiseh cos he had to drive from Raffles Place to Novena to Woodlands(my home) then bk to Serangoon(his home). On the way bk, I msged Bin to confirm tml(planned to go out with her). And she cancelled it, saying that she had a lot of things to do... -_- Well... I kind of prepared myself for it la. So nvm, another free day for me. Luckily, I didn't really make much plans n no party... only 2 of us. haha~ But I make time for it. hai~ Nvm, all i can say is I won't plan anything in the future. :p |
