3:55 PM Laughed at him for playing the same song at his computer the whole day. Now it's my turn, playing the same song the whole day, without getting sick of the song. Somemore it's not even in the language I know. It's Indo song! But with his translation, I can appreciate the song more. haha~ Too bad, I can't read indo even though the lyrics is in front of me. It's just like asking me to read hanyu pinyin when I can read much faster in Chinese characters. When was the last time you did something for the first time?
5:05 PM This morning, I completed my 10km race for the first time... haha~ Went for Great Eastern Women 10km this morning... The longest I ran(for practice) before today was 5km around the stadium. I've to admit I walk(quite a lot) toward the end of the race. Fang n I only managed to jog together, keeping as same pace until 7km. But it's a great achievement having to endure till 7 km without stopping. haha~ And I've a great jogging partner with me as both of us do not give up easily. If not, I don't think I can jog for 7km non-stop. I gave up first. :p Fang told me she oso walked shortly after I stopped. haha~ Maybe I played a part for her decision to stop. But maybe she would have stopped much earlier if I wasn't there. haha~ She was complaining about her leg aching during the race. Anyway, we had a great time. We wanted to reward us with a Swensen Ice-cream but we were too early. They weren't selling ice-cream yet. Ended up we went for coffee and chit chat. A good start of a day. Reward doesn't stop there. Going steamboat at night. Fat me. :p  We didn't manage to take photo at the Start and End point because we didn't carry anything additional during the race. This is taken after the race, trying to make my face looks smaller by hiding behind Fang. haha~ :p
Wa~ Messy hair! And my face still looks round no matter wat... :( Dun ask me y I dun tie my hair when you see me next time.  Fang :) hmm... Now I'm thinking of 4D for my race no. haha~ Sunday, October 19, 2008
Concert
10:24 PM Feel like posting some nice pic from ytd concert... hehe~  The 'taller' ones always have to stand behind. Bobian :p Love my dress and my bag.   We said they look alike(at least on stage) ! And said that the junior(left) looked short on stage. Didn't know he's 'slightly' taller than my dear fren, Wayne. Oops... haha~ Nvm, we love you as who you are. haha~ :p  You slim down + I gain weight = I look fat(beside you) in photo. Poor me... :'(
Went back hall for Annual Hall Concert Production and met a lot of fren. :) This year concert had more convensation, less singing n dancing which June n I will prefer to see. But nevertheless, we still enjoyed ourselves. Wonder if they will still go for concert next year or next next year etc. Hope everyone will still go. :) June said she felt old going back as alumni... Hai~ I think I will have to stop counting my age soon... haha~ Tuesday, October 14, 2008
5:06 PM Wanted to try the "Soup Spoon", newly opened near our office. I asked some female colleagues to join. As usual, there are always some people in a group who are very firm at their stands and refused to go with the majority. Felt sian cos I really wanna try "Soup Spoon" but I decided it's not v nice of me initiate lunch then suggested to go separate ways in the end. Hoping that she would suggest to go separate ways but she didn't. So I redundantly texted her and saying it's ok, we could skip "Soup Spoon" and simply eat at any hawker centre. But another male colleague of me, coincidentally, suggested to go "Soup Spoon" and asked me to join. I told him the whole story. He took it as a minor issue(becos he doesn't know how firm the female colleague is) decided to persuade the female colleague to go. Eventually, more people decided to join. Including that female colleague, bcos she was left with 'no choice'. A group of us walked to "Soup Spoon" to check the menu. The female colleague seems to be ok, chating away with me along the way. But when we were already there, wanting to place our order. The female colleague said she dun feel like eating bcos there's nothing on the menu she felt like eating. She with 2 of her closer colleagues decided to go another place for lunch instead, leaving the rests of us. I become the "bad" person who asked her for lunch, decided to go with her decision to skip "Soup Spoon", then changed my mind again to go "Soup Spoon" in the end. haha~ It's indeed a minor issue but I dun feel good. haha~ Sometime I feel it's better to mix with guys. Becos most of them are more "qingcai"(dun understand the meaning, can ask me on msn). Gals always have a lot of requests. But I do know some gal fren who oso more easy-going(like me!), who I love to go out with. :p hahaha~ The male colleagues still could not understand y I shld feel bad about it. I think guys won't understand since we are from 'different planets'. So guys just read this boring entry, dun need to kill too much brain cells, trying to understand. hahaha~ Sunday, October 12, 2008

Pissed
10:41 PM June n I went CCK Cotton-On to shop for clothes. They were having discounts. I saw the dress I liked but didn't buy the other time. Since they're having discount and left only the last S-size dress, I decided to buy it. The cashier was new, stupid n totally no common sense! Cashier: $34.95. Me: Isn't the dress discounted to $20? Cashier: The system shows $34.95. He stood there, looking at me without taking any action. I walked away from the counter to check the dress in case I made a mistake. And saw all other dresses have new price tags stated the discount rate except mine. So I took one of the M-size dresses and walked back to the counter to show the cashier. He checked the dress and scanned the price tag into the system. Me: Is it $20? He nodded. Thought that the problem was resolved. I expected him to have the common sense to tell tt they've forgotten to add new tag to my dress. He started folding the M-size dress for me, instead of the S-size I took initally. Me: Not tt one, I want this one. *pointing* Cashier: You hold on. Then he went to call someone(probably his manager) and talked for around 5-10 min. The people behind me started to get annoyed. So was I. Sick of waiting. He was still busying talking on the phone. The queue started to get longer. Me: Can you just swap the tags for both of the 2 dresses? Cashier: Sorry, I can't do that. This dress is $34.95. Me: Are the dresses having the same model no.? Cashier: Yes Me(I got really pissed): Can you explain to me y same dresses, different size but they are priced differently? And all the other dresses are discounted and priced $20. Waiting for his response but he didn't say anything except looking at me blankly. Me: Can I talk to your manager? Cashier: I just spoke to him on phone. Me: Then can you just left the S-size price tag behind and explained to your manager tml? Cashier: I won't be here tml. Me(almost shouting): Can you do something about it? We have been wasting our time, waiting for some long. Cashier: ... Me: I want this dress. If you can't do anything about it, I will like to speak to your manager personally NOW! Then I started complaining to the person waiting behind me, telling him the whole story. And June got v annoyed too, she oso started questioning the cashier. Asking him how can he expect me to take another dress of different size. Finally he started scanning my dress, keying into the system and putting my S-size dress into the plastic bag. Me: So how much is it? Cashier: $20. I checked my receipt, he keyed "incorrect system price, overriden". He should have done it long time ago! I think this is the first time I really lost my cool in public. I dun like to make a scene but I really cannot understand why there are some people can be tt stupid, not using their brain to think. :S |
