For those who solved, I know it appears 'chicken feet' to u now. Shh... :p

    In between size! 5:08 PM

Went to try the graduation gown with Pi today. We didn't know how to judge whether we look okay with the gown. Even if there is a rough guide to follow. E.g. 'S' size for 1.62 and below and so on. So I approached one of the staff, an shisetsu('kind' in jap) auntie n asked for help. The auntie looked at us and said 'S' size would be ok cos we were quite 'small'(hmm.. hehe~) size. So I put it on and it's a few inches below my kneel which according to the auntie, is the standard length. Pi was getting 'S' too even if she exceed the 'S' size height range. I'm at the moderline of the range. hmm...

Then we proceed to try the Mortarboard. The auntie measured Pi's head first... 56cm, size M. Then it's my turn, the auntie proceeded to measure mine while I was thinking that my head must be bigger than Pi's... hehe~ I tot my head should be bigger cos I should have a bigger brain for me to daydream everyday. >_< But the auntie measured and said my head is 54cm(54.5cm n below belongs to size 'S' category)!

Nevertheless, I still try on size 'M' on my own without bothering about the measuring result. And there is only a slight difference between both sizes! hmm... But think I will stick to 'S' so I dun need to torture my hair/head with hairpins to secure it. :p

Do not wanna go through the hazzle of queuing when the date is nearer. I tot I could just pay n carry today but the auntie said we have to wait till May to order online first... Y they allow pple to try but cannot buy yet... Still need to order online. Seem like there are many dates to take notice of. Trying gown date, release of commencement date, ordering date, collection date. >_< hmm...

    Anyway...

Hurray! My commencement is coming soon. Think will be lots of fun, taking photos etc.

And soon will be officially graduated... hmm.. But... who cares about official date anyway, I've already started working for 2 months! haha~

The buffet wasn’t very good. They have v limited varieties of food. I remember it used to be better last time. I love seafood. I was a little disappointed that they only have prawns, fish and mussels today. I remember they used to have chilli/black pepper crab last time. But the desserts are nice. Love the durian paste, tangyuan, cakes, fruit, jelly, .... :)

We went there separately with different cars. A colleague drove 4 of us to the hotel. We were the last to reach. They booked 3 big tables and 1 small table (We have 36 people instead of 20+ that I mentioned in previous entry). By the time we reached, the rests had already settled down in groups which left 1 table with 1 available seat, another one with 2 available seats. As I’m still new, I’m reluctant to sit alone with people I do not know or worse still never even met before (R&D is split into 2 floors, there are some colleagues which I nv have chance to meet yet). In the end, I joined the table with 2 available seats with a colleague I know and comfortable with. :p It’s a good chance to get to know her more. :)

I like people who are less complicated. And she’s one of them. She was rather quiet but we managed to talk as I keep prompting her with questions about her life in Germany. Hehe~ She stayed there for 4 months training some years ago. Envy those colleagues who went Germany (our HQ). It depends on the timing; whether at a particular time they need people to be trained over Germany in order to do related projects in Singapore or if there is a need to discuss face-to-face for both sides. Hope my chance will go soon. Hehe~

Going to Merchant Court’s Ellenborough Market Café for lunch buffet tml. Will be treated by company. :) Initially, I was not included in the mailing list for the treat as they only asked other R&D colleagues from other groups (R&D is v big dept, further split into smaller groups) or senior colleagues, around 20 of them. My project leader was v nice to email them, asking them whether I can join since I will be the new database developer for the project. They have to keep to budget as can’t invite too many pple. I was included. Another colleague of mine, who used to be the main developer before I came, had joined other project. And was not invited. I felt a little guilty as if I’m taking up his place. Haha~ But shan’t think so much as it’s the company arrangement. :p

Went there once for my bday celebration. The food was quite ok, more of Peranakan n Asian food. Wonder whether it’s still the same. :)

As I started to go for gym n classes, I try not to eat too much as well. So have to eat ‘wisely’ tml. :p For normal lunch, we will eat in those hawker centre or food court near our office. I usually choose soup noodle or porridge. I will start to feel a little hungry just before dinner which I think it’s a sign that I have not been eating too much. Hehe~ Eat just enough to last me before the next meal.

I usually went 3 times per week to the fitness centre. I planned to go 4 times per week but I was too lazy. Planned to go twice for the gym and twice for the classes. But it always ended up I only go once for gym n twice for classes. I actually prefer classes, finding it more fun. And it's scheduled so I will always go the same time every week if i wanna attend the same classes. Attended BodyBalance n Fitball. Fitball is fun! I now know how to exercise with a fitness ball! Maybe can buy one n exercise at home. :)

As for the gym, it can be quite boring. And I can go anytime, I usually too lazy to keep to my plan. Haha~ Although I bring my headphones for the tv program, it can still be quite boring. :p The first time I use the cycling equipment, I chose calories program. I was prompt to key the calories I wanna burn which I was completely clueless, so I keyed 400 to start. For a cycling machine, 400 can be equivalent to 2 hours of cycling!!! I usually only able to cycle at most 30 min. I try not to restrict myself to one machine or using one for too long.

A Mac Donald set is around 300 to 400 calories! So imagine it’s so hard to burn tt amount of calories. Hehe~ So before eating a Mac Donald set, have to think of the equation. 1 Mac Donald set = 2 hrs of cycling! And mayonnaise oso have much higher calories than other sauces! I think next time I will just ask for chilli sauce.

Just found out today, I can oso rent dvd from the centre. Free for 48 hours. But of course it doesn't have a lot of dvds to choose. Maybe will rent in the future. hehe~

23 years and 1 day old! 10:25 PM

From tml, 4 April 2008 onward, I must take every single day seriously.

Having to wake up so early everyday, I find it a little hard to concentrate during some points of the day(esp after lunch. haha~). In order to be at my best at work, I decided I really have to sleep early. I think job satisfaction/performance only comes with extra effort. So I need concentrate n must fully utilise the time in office doing productive work. So lights off by 11.15 sharp!

And at the age of 23, I can't afford to be fat! I dun wanna be average. I wanna be slim n healthy! While my previous post says tt I dun mind being healthy fat(not too slim, I mean) when I'm in my forties. But now, while I still in my twenties, I dun wanna live with regret. Dun wanna feel restricted just bcos I wanna cover up my tummy n flabby legs... I dun wanna hear myself saying "I will wear tt tube if I lose 5 kg!" or "I will cut my hair short if my face is not so round". So I have to watch diet n exercise!!! So only boiled, steamed or other healthier cooking methods food for me.

And have to start going gym soon! hehe~ Will go for BodyBalance this Sat. Looking forward. :D

Today, my colleague bought a bday cake. As 3 of our bday(1st, 2nd, 3rd Apr) around this time, we blew the candles tgt. hehe~ Think it's will be more paiseh if it's only my bday. haha~ Nice chocolate cake :) But so sinful! haha~

So I MUST stick to my plan starting from tml, 4 April 2008. I mean it! :p

    Plan:
    - Choose healthier choice of food, watch the portion!
    - Drink more water
    - Sleep by 1115
    - Reach office earlier
    - Exercise more
    - Concentrate n participate in every discussion
    - Be more helpful to colleagues
    - Stop keep looking at watch n hp during office hr

    Jiayou!!!

Celebrated my bday with Mel, June, Shin n Wayne! My besties, greatest gift tt I get for staying in hall for the 2 1/2 years. :D

Though no expensive food, present or cake but they spend their time to celebrate my bday during the busiest time of the sem! They gave me a handmade card too(!!!)... And oso Cute bag n giraffe soft toy(I can use to decorate my office desk!) chosen by cute June. hehe~ And nice mango cake. :) And nice chit chating session, updating about latest happenings in life n hall. I do miss hall life so much with these gd fren around.

    Mango! My fav! :D

Cute giraffe n my 'jiemeis'! hehe~

Us... We were kana 'chased out' of the restaurant by the waitress after taking these last 2 photos. -_- Shan't spoil our mood by these pple. :D

    Thanks jiemeis!!! Really touched. :D

    ===================================================================

I love the Korean drama, Oh Su-Jung Vs Karl which is showing currently at Ch U, 10pm. It's my fav Korean drama so far! hehe~ There are always surprises every episodes. It's not the typical Korean drama that gal keep crying, guys bullys gal, gal still loves guy then guy/gal died etc which I get bored after a while. I like to watch happy drama with happy endings. hehe~

I think the first Happy Korean drama I watched is Full House. Rain is cute. Song Huiqiao is pretty. But it's a little drag toward the end. They only got tgt at the very last episode!

So my updated fav is Oh Su-Jung Vs Karl. hehe~ I oso love Jeong-hwa Eom, the actress who acts as Oh Su-Jung. I watched a movie she starred in before this drama. She looks pretty in it, younger n less makeup. I really like her natural acting. Though she looks fatter as Oh Su-Jung n might have aged a bit but I still love her as much! Well... she's in her middle thirties so wat u expect? hehe~ I think I won't mind being a little fat if I'm in my forties or not. Sometimes too skinny might look older. I saw b4 some aunties who look too skinny n unhealthy. And Jeong-hwa Eom dun weep in the drama like other main actresses in other drama but u can feel the heart's aching at some part of the drama. Nice! *Thumb up* Do catch the last few episodes! :D
