Christmas
12:17 AM Christmas is one of my fav festival. Good thing about Xmas is that even if u r not a Christian or dun celebrate Xmas or exchange gifts, u will still feel involved. There are Xmas trees, cute soft toys, Xmas ornaments and shops playing Xmas songs everywhere. I love the nice Xmas decoration, really brighten up my day. :D This yr as usual, my family had early Xmas celebration at Dajie's house. But this time only Dajie, Eugene and I were cooking for the whole family. I was supposed in-charge of 3 dishes(need to cook for erjie's behalf cos she needed to work... haha~), Paper Chicken(纸包鸡), Thai prawn cake and a dessert. But in the end, I was too occupied with my paper chicken. Dajie helped me cook the Thai prawn cake instead. Used the prawn receipe book that she gave me last Xmas. hehe~ For the dessert, I made Tirumisu! It tasted quite nice actually! But it's look more like Chocolate Mousses Cake cos I skipped the decoration instruction of the receipe. And just decorate it with some chocolates that Dajie had in her fridge. :p  Food!!!  My 纸包鸡! Look like egg before you opened it. I put tomato on top of the chicken chop. The serving is a little too big. I didn't flatten it enough so it's a bit hard. Try again next time. :D

Bangkok trip
3:32 PM Back from Bangkok 3 days trip. :) Overall the trip is quite relaxing. Everyday we woke up early to travel then bk to hotel for a 3 to 4 hrs rest before going out at night again. Unlike last time when we travelled with a tour group. The schedule was too packed. This time we only joined a half day tour grp and the rest of the time we travelled a lot by ourselves. Reading maps, taking risk of getting lost, taking all public transports(train, tu-tu, taxis) except bus. Their train system is actually it's quite simple and organised like Singapore. But we have to be alert cos getting lost can be dangerous. The people there can hardly speak English at all! Even those hotel reception.  They actually queued before the aboard the train(???)Some interesting facts(correct me if I'm wrong :D ): 1) Every monday or their king's bday they will wear yellow to show a form of respect for the king. I saw some stalls sell yellow polo tee come in all sizes(kids to adult) and some people are wearing them. Guess these might be the polo tee they wear every mon. U can see the King's photo everywhere. Some shops, bulidings and even their planes have phrases like "Long Live the King". 2)There are a lot of election posters along the road cos their election is on 23rd. Their election in teams of 3 unlike Singapore. We choose one person for a region instead of a team. Maybe bcos Singapore is so so small, we dun need 3 person for a region. haha~ 3) There are a lot of cars! And colourful taxis that remind me of M&M. :p According to the half day tour guide the ratio is 5:7 (cars:people)! And the '7' includes kids. So average 1 adult has a car. It's really scary to cross the road. But no choice cos there are not a lot of overhead bridges. Thailand is one of the asian countries tt have highest car accident rate.  'M&M'  Selling? Parking?(Ans: Parking)  Bangkok Night. Love this pic! One of my fav. :) 4) The students have uniform but they can wear any shoes(? I think) they want... And many of them even makeup to school. A lot of handsome but too skinny and feminine school boys. On Day1, we walked past a shop that are crowded with school boys. They are actually waxing their legs!
6) The store owner dun like people try or touch their clothes. Many of their clothes are free size. They will judge whether you can wear it or not. If they think u can, they will let you try. If not, they will say tt their clothes are not for trying. Diff customers, diff responses. And most of the shops dun have fitting rooms. If u wanna try pants/short, you have to wear a sarong and changed underneath it. Day1: Went to MBK Shopping Centre, Siam Square, Lumphini Park and Siam Lum Night Bazaar. Also sauna and steambath in hotel :) Have my fav tomyam for both dinner and lunch.  MBK: I found my elmo t-shirt and had my first tomyam meal here. :)
Suan-Lum Night Bazaar has a lot of art pieces to buy as souvenir. Day 2: Half day tour along Chao Phraya River with tour grp, chinatown and have my first ride on Tu-tu. On the tour along the river we passed places like 'Zheng Wang Miao'. We alighted at a temple but it was not for visit that day. According to the tour guide, someone from the Royal family was visiting that day so we are not allowed to enter. Only managed to took some pic from outside. On the boat  Outside temple  Chinatown  Met this little monster at Chinatown. hehe~  Tu-tu Day 3: Visit Chatuchuk Market. Should have saved more money for Chatuchuk Market. A lot of things to buy and everything is relatively cheaper than those shops I visited on Day 1 & 2. Then at night we visited the market(forgot wat it's called) opposite our hotel.  冰棒@ Chatuchuk only $3 baht! Which is about S$0.15... We bought 3. Purple one tastes better. :) Shopping... Chatuchuk is a bit like bugis street but might bigger. So big tt it is divided into zones.
Along our way bk to their train station. There is this store that sells noodles. They put baskets piled with veggies on their table. I tot they sell veggie as well. A closer look, they actually allowed their customers to add veggie themselves. The customers have to pluck directly from these baskets.
At night, we walked along the street to the market next to our hotel... And we saw this! Elephant! The people who led the elephant asked whether we wanna feed the elephant by buying those cut bamboo shoot from them. And we did. hehe~ First time fed elephant. :p Day 4: Home Sweet Home. Bye bye Thailand. hehe~ Hotel room tt I slept for 3 nights. Luggage full! I have to squeeze my bag to the max. hehe~ Sorry for the super long entry. haha~ I wrote so much so that I can recall wat'd happened in the future. hehe~ Tuesday, December 11, 2007
11:19 PM Morning I went to collect my hard lens with mum. Finally, dun have to walk around with ugly spec anymore. But I feel a bit uncomfortable with the hard lens. :'( Nothing seems to suit me. Tried both hard and soft lens b4. Previous 2 yrs experience of wearing soft lens, they don't seem to 'stick' properly to my eyes. -_- Now, hard lens are a bit uncomfortable. Think I need some time to get used to hard lens again(have been 2 yrs since I last wore hard lens). I seriously consider going for lasik! haha~ OMG! Start thinking of ways to spend my Night met pooiyin, shushing n shuling at Orchard to see the Xmas decoration. But this yr doesn't seem to have any impressive ones to talk about. No BIG christmas tree. Size shrink. But we still manage to take some photos with our funny poses. hehe~

2:00 AM  ユさんに日本の本を借りました。日本２のほんです。おもいです！ユさんはお国でほんを買いましたから、安いかったです。でも、本は中国語で書きました。今ひまです、毎日本で日本語を勉強したいです。先生があいませんから、とても難しいです。:) I borrowed Japanese books from Yu-san. They are Japanese 2 books. Very heavy. Yu-san bought from her country so they are cheap. But the books are in Chinese. Now, I’m free. I want to study Japanese everyday. I don’t have a teacher so it will be very difficult. :) ====================================================================  昨日友達と晩ご飯を食べました。晩ご飯はArts のSteamboatでした。Arts のSteamboatはおいしかったです。そしてやすかったです。少し辛かったですから、とても好きでした。わたしはたくさん食べ物をたべましたから、おなかがいっぱいでした。いい友達とたべましたから、楽しかったです。 Yesterday, I ate dinner with my friends. Dinner is Arts’ steamboat. Arts’ steamboat is delicious and cheap. A little spicy so I like it very much. I ate a lot of food so I was very full. Good friends ate with me so it’s enjoyable. 10:26 AM  My 21st bday... :D SMC team. hehe~ Siaohui's bday. Failed(2 out 5) attempt to look sian. haha~ Chocolate buffet day. :) Drink chocolate. Yummy! 灵异版:Yubin n I.. haha~ Wayne n I With Mel n June. :) Shinney n I They so cute. hahaFor many, the last day of school ended on the last paper. For me, my last day ended today. Today has to move out of hall. Double sadness. No longer a NUS student. And cannot stay near my friends. :’( The bonds we share cannot be described in words. We see each other almost everyday. We study/dun sleep, sleep, work, ‘bathe’, eat, pia movies & drama, chit chat, sing k and supper together. The days I can’t go home during to projects and couldn’t sleep to pia assignments and studying for exams. I know there are always people(esp. Mel!) around me still awake like me(Yup… we dun sleep early. :p). I was never alone. Haha~ I become less self-centered staying in hall. 出外靠朋友。We are a big family, we help and listen to each other. Thanks all the friends we I met in hall. Especially those closer ones. :) Yubin: So glad to have you as my neighbour. Fated cos we couldn’t choose room during Yr 1. :P Though you are two years junior but feel that I have so much to learn from you. Your positive attitude towards studies and life. Thanks for always helping me selflessly. Always there for me when I’m sad. Will miss the time we watched drama together. And your interesting replies to my 'silly' qns. Haha~ Promised to watch your fav concert with you when you are back k? Dun forget our promises to go Japan, Korea and HK tgt ar! Hehe~ And I confirm going your house next holiday k? hehe~ And you are always welcome to come mine. :D Melissa: Mel-san! Sad that we only become really close this semester. But it’s good enough to make me like you so much! You are a v unique person, sometimes I couldn’t understand the way you see things but it makes you interesting and special too. Haha~ I very bad, always like to tease you. :p And always I like to go your room and very‘自动’lie on your comfortable bed esp when I was stressed. Sometimes just like to chit-chat with you or kpo when you doing your work. Haha~ Really impressed by your determination. You can pia assignment and finished in two days when other people need a week to finish. I enjoyed the philosophy stories (watermelon, 1D, 2D, 3D). haha~ And you always treated everyone with sincerity. We said before that we wanna go oversea and study and travel together even if only two of us. Dun forget ar! Haha~ Thanks for helping me moving my stuffs. :D And I will miss your laughter so much. Must take care k? And sleep more!!! :) June: Who can be more ‘shuai’ than me to have No.1 and No.2 to block my room for me during balloting day leh… hehe~ Must really thanks you n Mel! Hehe~ Cannot shop le ar! You have too much clothes. Haha~ :p I really proud of you, you always know what you want for relationship and life. Will miss the chit-chat sessions we had. And the times we always cheer each other on during exams. Jiayou jiayou! Must update me about wat happening around you even when I’m not around k? :) And dun worry you will never look auntie with that cute baby face. Thanks for lending me your lab reports! If not, I totally have no idea how to start writing. And also happy you dabao dinner and walk with me to LT32. Hehe~ Paiseh I was a untidy and lazy roommate. Haha~ And you are always so neat and tidy. Always sweep the floor when I’m not around. 辛苦了！:p Wayne: Wayne-san! I never told u b4 but both Mel and I think that you are a super nice guy. Our hao jiemei! Hehe~ So nice and 好脾气 that we(ok la... esp me! haha~) can’t help bullying you sometimes. :p Made you help us carry stuffs(my ‘2kg’ programming library book) and dabao lunch for me during exam period. Haha~ And you never once complain (at least I ignored all your complains. :p) I think you are special in your own way(How many guys will be willing to make jelly for us leh? Hehe~). You are always there to remind us when we left out someone in the group. Always so thoughtful and appreciative. You are someone I can talk to almost everything. Become super 38 when talking to u. haha~ Though you didn’t pass many test and training set by Mel n me but the passing rate is very low so dun be sad k? haha~ Paiseh for the two failed attempts to pia movies (Singapore’s dreams + Next) with you. I fell asleep halfway. Haha~ Thanks for helping me moving me stuffs at 7am! Touched. Piling and Meiling: Can’t imagine we have attended same school for 9 years le! If not for you all, I dun think I can make it so far. Thanks! :D Also thanks those I worked with during my stay in hall. Happy day

Beware of the pri sch standard japanese + many grammar or vocab mistakes :p --> 昨日ユさんに大学のbus-stopで会いました。私達はバスでVivoCityへ行きました。VivoCity は大きいところです。そしてにぎやがなところです。 私とユさんいっしょにKim Garyで晩ご飯を食べました。Kim Garyの料理は香港料理です。とてもおいしいかったです。そしてたかくなかったです。みんなさん、香港料理が好きですか？私達は香港料理が好きです。:D それから買い物しました。ユさんはたくさん物を買いました。私はなんもかいませんでした。でも、たくさん可愛いぬりぐるみ(Softtoy)と写真を撮りました。ぬりぐるみ(Softtoy) の中でElmo がいちがん好きです。でもElmoは高かった(五十ドル)ですから、買いませんでした。 それからいっしょに”Hero”を見ました。私は”Hero”のどらまを見ませんです。でも”Hero”の映画はおもしろかったです。”Hero”のどらまを見たいです。 昨日はたのしい日ですよ！ Translation --> Yesterday, I met Yu-san at university’s bus-stop. We went to VivoCity by bus together. VivoCity is a big and crowded/lively place. We ate dinner together at Kim Gary. Kim Gary cuisine is Hongkong cuisine. Very delicious and not too expensive. You all like Hongkong cuisine? We love HongKong cuisine. :D After that, we went shopping. Yu-san bought a lot of things. I never bought anything. But took a lot of photo with cute soft toys. My favorite is Elmo. But Elmo is expensive($50) so I didn’t buy. After that, we went to watch Hero together. I never watched Hero drama. But Hero movie is very interesting. I want to watch Hero drama. Yesterday is enjoyable day. :) ================================================================== Nothing's happier than going out with someone I like. hehe~ Yubin! Waited for her to finish her last paper ytd. But it was raining heavily. I hurt my toes (again) when walking toward bus-stop. Accident prone. -_- If u observe, u will see a lot of bruises on my legs and toes. Always accidentally kicked or knocked into something. :X Our initial plan (movie + steamboat) was spoilt cos Bugis is not showing 'Hero'! In the end, we went Vivo instead. Dinner was at Kim Gary. Nice! Went there third time le. :D  She camera-shy... haha~ So cute!Wa~ I looked so tired! Got eyebag le! Not becos of exam but becos I have been sleeping at 6am everyday after exam! Pia drama, movie, talking to friends. I'm SO busy. haha~ :p

I didn't watch the drama before the movie. But luckily Bin watched so I was not too lost with her introducing the characters in the Hero prior to the movie. Thanks ar! haha~ Not bad. :) It's last more than 2 hrs lor! So we have to take cab bk. Luckily Vivo is near school. Then took photos in my rm!
