Waraku de Pasta... Yummy!!!
10:30 PM Festivals n holiday are good excuses to gather with fren n family and have a good feast. But when these supposed-to-be-occasional feasts come too often, it may bring horrifying effect. I have been 'overeating' these days with xmas, new yr, cny, sec sch/uni gatherings lining up. Double chin seems to have becoming more visible. Must diet le. :'( Went to Marina Square's Pasta de Waraku! We booked beforehand as it's often v crowded when we walked past during shopping trips. But strangely, tt day we booked but it's rather empty. -_- Only a few pple were waiting outside the restaurant. Yes, still need to wait for those who didn't book. :) The idea of Pasta de Waraku is to cook italian pasta in japanese way. I love pasta so decided to give it a try. The menu was flooded with pasta(afterall, it's a pasta restaurant), a bit hard to make the choice. After much discussion, we decided to narrow down the options. By cancelling out those choices tt seem common so cream n tomato sause pasta are out. haha~ :p Then we decided to choose one soup pasta set(first time try soup pasta!) n one pasta with wara sauce(house sauce). hehe~ The soup pasta set comes with macaroni gratin, corn soup n salad. The corn soup was a little too sweet for me. I liked the salad. Gratin was quite nice too. But a little too cheesy if u eat it alone. We shared :) Spinach n bacon soup pasta. The soup is made of light cream n spinach. Quite nice but it tastes like some chinese cuisine instead of japanese/intalian. My mushroom prawn pasta(house sauce). I love this. :) The prawns were fresh. And there were generous amt of shitake, golden mushroom n seaweed inside too. Yummy! Then we shared the strawberry ice-cream. :P Photo posed with the yummy ice cream. hehe~ Highly recommended this restaurant to pasta lovers. :) There is another Waraku restaurant at Level 1 of Marina Square which serves traditional japanese cuisine. So if u wanna try the pasta, have to visit the second floor. :D |
