Trekking n paiseh incident. :'(
1:43 PM First time went Southern Ridge trekking ytd. I borrowed a bag from Eugene(my bro in-law). I smsed him for the bag n he asked me qns like how many days, day pack or carry everything, whether i need sunblock, he can borrow his sis' bag if his is too big for me etc. haha~ It's really v nice of him. Actually, I was thinking of a not-too-big(I got one which I tot was too big)backpack that can put my big waterbottle, towel, ipod etc. And he had one close to the description. Thanks. :) It's a 9km walk from Mount Faber Park to West Coast. Another fren told me that marathon is around 10km, so I would an rough idea of how long the walk will be. We tot it's a 3 hrs affair. But ended up we walked more than 4 hrs even though we only walked till Kent Ridge Park! The map guide stated a rather short extimation time btw each park(around 15min each) but it would only be possible to complete in tt short time if we walked v fast n didn't stop to enjoy the greenery. We started around 10+, walked till 3+ before we had our lunch. And it was only towards the end of the walk, my shoes gave up on me. It was quite embarrassing that part of my sport shoes sole came out. :( Luckily we were finishing the walk and I could go buy a pair of slippers. My colleagues said that it could be because I seldom wear it so the glue had loosen. Well... tt could be the reason. Though I bought my shoes for quite long time, I seldom wear it, it looks almost brand new. Luckily, my colleagues were quite nice about the shoes incident but I still felt a bit paiseh. Hope my paiseh feeling will go away before Tues. :p Wednesday, May 14, 2008
My first facial...
10:00 PM was PAINFUL... but oso enjoyable. It took 2hrs! I went straight after work last Fri. The place was a little hard to find, I was 15min late for my appointment. After my facial, it's already 9 plus. Painful for the extraction. Esp on the nose... My tolerance for pain is quite high. It was painful but I still managed to keep still thoughout the extraction. Other processes like cleansing, scrub etc, was quite pampered. Just lie there and relax. :)_But sometimes when my therapist wiped my eyelids, I could feel my lenses shifting. If u wear contact lenses, esp hard lens, u will get wat I mean. :p Enjoyable for processes like head, shoulder, neck massage. But as I was extremely sensitive at the chest area... I had to control not to giggle. haha~ There was a time my therapist was massaging my chest. She asked whether I felt itchy because she didn't use enough strength. I told her it's bcos I'm too sensitive, not bcos of the strength. A bit paiseh... haha~ I didn't bring anything specially for the facial. Think next time I MUST bring my spec and a comb. So I can wear take out my spec instead of wearing contact lenses. And comb my hair after the facial. Lying there and having a towel wrapping(so my hair won't contact with my face) my hair for 2 hrs, my hair was messy! I forgot to bring a comb tt day though sometimes I will leave a comb in my bag. Can check out the website --> http://skinrevival.com.sg/sr/content/view/52/45/ And I'm glad tt they dun hard sell their products. I added additional face n eyes masks to my facial package as I requested for it. Before I left, my therapist even told me not to buy any products from them for the first visit. So I could observe the result of my facial before deciding whether to buy any product for the next visit. ================================================= Ytd went Vivo to meet Jiemeis for dinner at Kim Gary. We wanted to watch movie but there was no suitable timing. Too late, everyone would have prob waking up the next day n I'll have to take cab. Too early, 3 out of 4 of us needed to rush from work and delay caused by traffic jam could be unpredicable. So in the end, we only had dinner, chit chat session n visit my fav pet shop. :) Hope everyone can adapt well to their new working environment and Mel will find a job soon. :)
Another puzzle
9:55 PM 1) There are five houses. 2) The Englishman lives in the red house. 3) The Spaniard owns the dog. 4) Coffee is drunk in the green house. 5) The Ukrainian drinks tea. 6) The green house is immediately to the right of the ivory house. 7) The Old Gold smoker owns snails. 8) Kools are smoked in the yellow house. 9) Milk is drunk in the middle house. 10) The Norwegian lives in the first house. 11) The man who smokes Chesterfields lives in the house next to the man with the fox. 12) Kools are smoked in the house next to the house where the horse is kept. 13) The Lucky Strike smoker drinks orange juice. 14) The Japanese smokes Parliaments. 15) The Norwegian lives next to the blue house. Now, who drinks water? Who owns the zebra? In the interest of clarity, it must be added that each of the five houses is painted a different color, and their inhabitants are of different national extractions, own different pets, drink different beverages and smoke different brands of American cigarettes.
